===Forward=== The Paul Scherrer Institute is with 1400 employees the largest research centre for the natural and engineering sciences in Switzerland and a worldwide leading user laboratory. Its research activities are concentrated on the main topics structure of matter, energy and environmental research as well as human health. For the operation and further development of our XPS equipment we are looking for a Scientific Officer XPS Electrochemistry See: http://www.psi.ch/pa/offenestellen/0265-1 Your tasks As a member of a team working in the field of electrochemical energy storage you take responsibility for our XPS equipment and provide XPS service for the entire department. You develop the XPS equipment further and participate in research projects of the team. You have the opportunity to pursue your own research projects in that area. Your profile You have a PhD degree in chemistry, physics, or materials science and a strong background in the XPS technique. Research experience in electrochemistry is an asset. You have active interest in experimental investigations and enjoy working in an interdisciplinary team. You are a flexible team member who is able to work on different mid-term projects and provide XPS service at the same time. Good communication skills in both German and English are required.
