This message is mainly directed to users who have accounts on the cluster and are using the /storage NFS mount. This morning I ran into what appears to be a "space issue" on /storage. The PBS job I was running crashed with the following error message: PGFIO/stdio: No space left on device PGFIO-F-/formatted write/unit=10/error code returned by host stdio - 28. File name = /storage/home/shiven/charmm/test/ivvt/11/1hhp_ivvt_3.prt formatted, sequential access record = 1215 In source file dynamc.f, at line number 4164 Has anyone else faced such a problem before? If yes, then what possible workarounds may be used? I checked my usage of /storage with: du -sh /storage/home/shiven and it shows up as 1.3G /storage shows an overall usage of 91% Please check how much space you are using and if possible, clean/backup the excess data on this common shared resource. Apologies for the double posting. Many Thanks, Shiven ------------------------------------------------------ Shivender Shandilya Schiffer Lab, 970K, LRB, U.Mass. Med. Sch. ÔõôûÈË»ØÓ¦ÄØ£¿ÍøÉÏÓÐÈËÕâÑù»Ø´ð£¬ºÃÏñÊÇżȻ£¨a one-off occasion £©·¢ÉúµÄ£¬µ«ÎÒµÄÈ´Ò»Ö±ÊÇÕâÑùŶ£¡ Hello Xiaoge, I think this must've been a one-off occasion where your job started up on a node that had it's scratch disk filled up from a previous job. There is a lag time between a job finishing, and the scratch space being cleaned up. I ran some test in: /home/jordan/xiaoge/richard which ran 50 jobs on 18 different (fermi) nodes, and the above error didn't appear. When this error appears again, update this posting immediately and I'll sort this out. |
