The acidity data, shown in Table 1 for the Mo2C/HY catalysts doped with different quantities of Mg, give an average acidity of 0.93± 0.09 mmol/g, in good agreement with the acidity of the un-doped Mo2C/HY catalyst (0.97 mmol/g). Hence we conclude that the addition of Mg had no significant effect on the acidity compared to the Mo2C/HY catalyst, whereas the K decreased the acidity by approximately 30% (0.68mmol/g). |
