I gave you life, but cannot live it for you. I can give you directions, but I cannot be there to lead you. I can take you to church, but I cannot make you believe. I can buy you beautiful clothes, but I cannot make you beautiful inside. I can teach you respect, but I cannot force you to show honor. I can advise you about friends, but I cannot choose them for you. I can tell you about alcohol & drugs, but I cannot say "no" for you. 我可以教你学会分享， 但我不能使你慷慨无私。 我可以教你学会尊敬，但我不会强迫你显示敬意。 我可以给你交友的建议，但我不能为你选择朋友。 我可以给你讲讲酒和毒品， 但我不能代替你说“不”。 I can tell you about lofty goals, but I cannot achieve them for you. | Mothers give us lives. But some people won't cherish their lives, which is a pity! I often think about the meaning or value of life, which brings me great grief in the end. I seems quite true that before becoming a beautiful butterfly, a worm has to stand the pain in the dark cocoon. But I won't give up! |
