Dear Dr ***,

Thank you for submitting your manuscript to the JIP. Two experts in the field have reviewed your manuscript, and while they find the topic of interest and potential importance, they have noticed substantial flaws that must be corrected before your study can be published in our Journal. I have examined their comments and recommendations for changes to your study and manuscript and I am in full agreement with these. Thus, if you wish to have your manuscript published in the JIP, you will have to address all of their comments on a point-by-point basis and submit a revised manuscript. Your revised manuscript will then be sent to the same two experts for further review to determine its suitability for publication. An important point made by both reviewers is that some of your conclusions can not be drawn without providing additional data to support these points in your manuscript. The reviewers' comments are below.
