投稿后一周，被退回修改，说语言不过关已有32人参与

大约一周前投的Elsevier的european polymer journal，今天被退回了，第一关技术审查就没过，编辑列了几条，第一条就是 “There are a number of grammatical errors and instances of badly worded/constructed sentences.”。其他几点是形式上的小问题。有语法错误啊！我认真改了几遍呢，还请一个已经发过几篇SCI的同学帮我改的。“badly worded/constructed sentences”是什么意思呢？是语言和结构上都很不好的句子？有人早就告诉我说这个杂志对语言要求很高，果不其然啊。怎么办呢？继续自己改呢？还是找专业公司？还是改投？有点没信心了。 |

楼主别害怕，我给你看看我的技术审查，基本也是这么说的。我后来按照他们要求的改了后昨天文章已经接收了。 Dear Mr Li, > > >Thank you for submitting your work to CARBON. 看看给我的Comments: 11条啊 呵呵，崩溃吧 > >1) In its current state, the level of English throughout your manuscript does not meet the journals desired standard. There are a number of grammatical errors and instances of badly worded/constructed sentences. Please check the manuscript and refine the language carefully. > >2) Letters to the Editor should not be more than five double-spaced manuscript pages (including references, but not including Figures) in length. Figure is allowed to put at the end of the manuscript for Letters. > >3) Please avoid abbreviations in article title. > >4) Delete "In summary...." in the conclusion. (You are supposed to be giving your conclusions, not a summary of the paper.) > >5) Complete addresses of three potential referees should be provided. Referees should represent at least two regions of the world. > >6) Abbreviations should be defined the first time they are used, BOTH in the abstract and in the main text, such as CNT in the abstract and NPs in the text. But, never define abbreviations (XRD and TEM) in an abstract unless they are used later IN THE ABSTRACT. Please delete these and make sure they are defined when first used in the text. As a result of this, one should avoid abbreviations in an abstract. > >7) The word "nanocomposites" is not allowed in CARBON. Replace all references to nanocomposites with "composites". > >8) Please avoid use of plural noun as an adjective; for example 'organic fragments route' is wrong, but 'organic fragment route' is right. > >9) Please use either Schematic or Diagram. Never say "Schematic diagram"; both the words (as nouns) mean the same thing. > >10) Please pay attention to the correct use of the word "respectively". This word is used to indicate that two or more lists are linked in the order in which they are mentioned. For example, in the sentence "The products were named Precursor 2 (P2), Precursor 3 (P3), and Precursor 4 (P4) according to the volume ratio of NH4OH, respectively" delete "respectively". Please make changes accordingly throughout the whole manuscript. > >11) In the sentence "The structural and morphological characterizations of the Si/CNT composites have been carried out using powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscope (TEM)", instrument and techniques are mixed and confused. > |
