My comments: (1) Such expression is OK; (2) The full sentence should be: After the compound was rinsed and dried, the Fe amount was found to have decreased. (3) When "the compound" was omitted, it can be taken as the independent structure as we learned in the elementary English grammar. (4) I dont agree with you on your decipher that the Fe was rinsed and dried. As Fe is ion, can you merely rinse and dry the ions while leaving the compound untouched? In other word, can you dry sort of ions? what is the dried ions? Confused to some degree. |
