Thispaperdescribesthebioconjugationofhistidine-taggedenzymesandotherproteinstothesurfaceofcomposite

greenfluorescentproteintomagnetomicellesrevealedthatproteinswerecapturedwithahighsurfacedensity
andcouldbemagneticallyseparatedfromreactionmixturesandsubsequentlyreleasedfromthenanoparticle
surface.Additionally,bioconjugationofT7RNApolymeraseyieldedafunctionalenzymethatmaintainedits
biologicalactivityandcouldberecycledforuptothreesubsequenttranscriptionreactions.Weproposethat
protein-magnetomicellebioconjugatesareeffectiveforproteinbioseparationandenzymaticrecyclingandfurther
strengthentheideathatnanoparticlesurfaceshaveutilityinproteinimmobilization.
