例如： 1、Prolate and oblate ellipsoids are discussed here, respectively. 2、The height of prolate and oblate ellipsoids is three times and one third of the height of spheroids, respectively. 这两个例子句尾的respectively需不需要用？ |

通常“分别”译成“respectively”，表示后一组事物与前一组事物一一对应，如：Serum levels of A and B were a and b, respectively. 但是千万不要一看到“分别”就译成“respectively”。 有时候“分别”要译成separately，指分开处理，如：把糖和奶粉分别加到水里，应该译为：Sugar and milk powder were separately added into water。有时候还可以译成independently，如染色结果分别（independently）由两位病理医师进行判读。 所以，楼主，你的两个句子的respectively，用法都是对的，需要用。 |
