随着光纤通信和光纤到户网络的快速发展,研制一种稳定、高精度和低成本的光时域反射仪成为了光纤故障检测的迫切需求。本文提出并实验验证了一种基于布尔混沌直接调制激光器的光时域反射仪,用于实现光纤故障的高精度诊断。利用布尔混沌作为调制信号,经驱动电路直接调制DFB激光器输出混沌激光。

With the rapid the development of fiber optical communication(FOC) and fiber to the home(FTTH) , it is in urgent need to design a optical time domain reflectometer ( OTDR ) with advantages of stable performance, high precision and lower cost for fiber optic fault detection. In this paper, it proposed a direct modulation laser based on boolean chaos and verify its operation by experiments, so as to realize the high precision fiber fault detection. This device(OTDR), based on boolean chaos as modulating signals, can directly modulate DFB laser v(a drive circuit to output chaotic laser.
