[求助] 如何翻译这句话(环境方面的)

一位朋友托我帮助校核一篇中译英文稿，其中全文总体翻译较好，只是个别地方我认为不妥。现在有一句请大家帮助看一如何翻译才更好。
中文为：水源区人口密度大、土地负荷重，水库淹没与移民安置使库区水环境面临严峻考验。
其英文翻译为：Water environment in reservoir area faces a great challenge from reservoir inundation and resettlement, as water source area is densely-populated with limited land resources。
拜托大家看一下!
