[求助] offer 求助已有2人参与

收到了田纳西大学的offer，如下：

This letter serves as your official offer of a 50% FTE Graduate Research Assistant position in the
Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering in the College of Engineering at the University
of Tennessee. Effective 08/01/2015 (or upon arrival on campus), this appointment is initially
offered for one year. Continued compensation is dependent on funding availability, satisfactory
performance of required responsibilities, and continued academic good-standing.

Compensation includes an annual salary in the amount of $20,400, beginning with the August 1,
2015, payroll and continuing through July 31, 2016. Also included with this appointment are
waivers of the standard university tuition for the Fall 2015, Spring 2016, and Summer 2016
semesters and a basic health insurance plan (which is equivalent to about $17,000 at the current
rates). Please understand that the tuition waiver does not include the student activities fee, the
technology fee, or the College of Engineering differential tuition costs, which are applicable to all
engineering courses. You will need to pay those fees in the usual manner.

To accept this appointment, please sign in the designated area below and return the original letter
to me before January 15, 2015. A scanned email copy will be acceptable.

可是为什么里面写了第一年有RA 后面还要评呢？大家的也都这样么？还有student activities fee, the
technology fee, or the College of Engineering differential tuition costs 是什么，大概多少？

这是全奖. 其他那些费用, 估计一年几百到一千, 你可以自己去UTK工学院的网上去查具体的数目.

一年一年的给, 是很正常的, 如果你的表现不好, 比如GPA<3, 科研表现太差, 或者和老板合不来, RA就没有了. 大多数情况下, 你老板会保证你读完博士的资助.
