如何理解AE给的小修意见 已有3人参与

小弟最近投的一篇AWPL，AE给了小修，意见如下： “The effort by the Authors in reviewing their work has been appreciated by the Review Board. Before recommending the paper for publication, it is requested to better locate the paper within the state of the art according to the indications of Reviewer 3.” reviewer #1 & #2都没有问题，但reviewer #3提出两点(其中第二点致命)： 1) The construction of the "xxxxx" has been proposed/studied in many papers like [R1 - R6], and the authors should acknowledge them properly. [R1] xxxxxxx [R2] xxxxxxx ....... [R6] 2) The authors plug the “xxx” into the algorithm proposed in [7]. It seems to me that it's a simple concatenation of two well-known concepts/methods, and it does not provide sufficient novelty for an IEEE journal. It's more suitable for an IEEE conference paper. 我的问题如下： AE的这句“better locate the paper within the state of the art according to the indications of Reviewer 3”应该如何理解呢？ 是不是意味着将reviewer #3第一点意见中所列的参考文献进行引用，并在introduction中和本文方法的关系进行简要说明即可？ 对于第二点意见似乎只能适当的argue一下了。 多谢各位大牛了！ |
