1,4-Dibromo-2,5-dimethylbenzene, terephthalaldehyde, (4-(diphe-nylamino)phenyl)boronic acid and 2-(3-methoxyphenyl) acetoni-trile were purchased from commercial sources and used without further purification. 2,5-Dibromoterephthalaldehyde was synthe-sized according to the literature procedure.20All solvents and reagents (analytical grade) were used as received, unless otherwise claimed. The1H and13C NMR spectra were recorded on a Bruker AVANCE III 500 MHz instrument (Bruker, Switzerland) using chloroform-d (CDCl3) as the solvent. Mass spectroscopy was carried out with a Thermo LCQ Fleet MS spectrometer.Elemental analyses were performed using the Thermo-Finnigan Flash EA-1112 (CE, Italy) instrument. The UV-vis absorption spectrum was recorded on a Perkin Elmer Lambda 35 spectro-photometer. Fluorescent measurements were recorded on a Perkin-Elmer LS-55 luminescence spectrophotometer. The fluorescence quantum yield fFwas determined using a cali-brated integrating sphere. |
