Precision Engineering 拒搞理由，语法错误多？？？？ 已有3人参与

一个月前投了Precision Engineering ，今天拒搞，编辑的意思是语法错误太多，直接没给审稿人，就给我退回来了。我自己感觉没那么多语法错误，写完之后，自己修改了很多遍。想问下这是怎么个情况？是不是必须修改一下转投别的期刊了？ 编辑回信如下： Thank you for your interest in publishing your work with Precision Engineering. I have read your manuscript, "Influence of pitch error on the static performance and positioning accuracy of hydrostatic lead screw with continuous helical recesses" (PRE-D-14-00235), and have chosen to return it to you before sending it out to reviewers. The subject matter is certainly of interest to our readers, and the technical content of the manuscript is accessible to an interested reader, but I'm concerned that the numerous errors in English language usage will unduly influence their opinion. My experience has been that we can ultimately achieve a faster time to publication by correcting grammatical errors before giving the manuscript to the reviewers for their technical assessment. Perhaps you can ask a colleague who is unfamiliar with the technical content of your work to assess the presentation. Some phrases, "drunkenness of the female unit" for example, translate very poorly. I also ask that you include in your background research some discussion of prior work in this field by Prof. Alexander Slocum, a longtime contributor to Precision Engineering, and almost certainly one of the eventual readers of your work. One relevant reference is: Slocum, A. Seyfried, P.; Kunzmann, H.; McKeown, P. & Weck, M. (Eds.) Design and Testing of a Self Coupling Hydrostatic Leadscrew Progress in Precision Engineering, Springer Berlin Heidelberg, 1991, 103-105. Best regards, |

谢谢回复。我这是第一次写论文，为了减少错误，很多句子是参考的别人的论文里的。确实有很多句子很长。drunkenness of the female unit 的螺母波动量的意思，别的论文里也有这么写的，但不是在这个期刊上。因为研究领域研究的比较少，很多短语，我拿不准的就参考别人用的什么短语。是不是这样做不科学。另外，想问下，最后，编辑给了一个One relevant reference is: Slocum, A. Seyfried, P.; Kunzmann, H.; McKeown, P. & Weck, M. (Eds.) Design and Testing of a Self Coupling Hydrostatic Leadscrew Progress in Precision Engineering, Springer Berlin Heidelberg, 1991, 103-105. 是什么意思？我也没查到他给的这篇论文。 |
