| Drying of raw coals is the first and most critical scientific problem for efficient utilization of lignite resources. Preliminary experiments were carried out to explore the effects of drying time, temperature, method, and other factors on the properties of coarse raw coals, especially the yields of lignite wax humic acid, in order to provide theoretical support for the efficient implementation of the new approaches to the comprehensive utilization of lignite. The results showed that drying of raw coals needed to be performed at a suitable temperature, for an appropriate time. In addition, it was not the lower the better for moisture. Otherwise it would be not only a waste of energy and time, but also affect the yield and quality of the main products. Furthermore, raw coals after mining required certain period of time for stacking. (In conclusion,) for efficient utilization of lignite, it is recommended that the drying of raw coals are carried out at temperature of 100-150 ℃ for about 30-60 min, with 10-20% moisture. |
