PhD and Master Studentship in Chemical Biology: University of Macau

Dr. Ying Wang’s laboratory in the Institute of Chinese Medical Sciences at University of Macau (http://www.umac.mo/icms/03_staff/01_academic_staff/yingwang_e.html ) are seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic PhD and Master of Biological Sciences candidates. The group’s research interest includes 1) Anti-hepatitis C virus and liver cancer drug discovery, 2) Chemical biology of natural product and derivatives, 3) Molecular pharmacology. Candidates with experiences in the above areas are preferred but not restricted. Priority will be given to those in the final year of master program or undergraduate study with fluency in oral and written English. The successful candidates are expected to start the postgraduate program on September 1, 2015, and will be fully funded all through the program under the regulation of University of Macau. The university will provide postgraduate housing with an affordable price. The University of Macau is now making a quantum leap to be the world class university with the move to the beautiful new campus on Hengqin Island (http://www.umac.mo/new_campus_project/). Institute of Chinese Medical Sciences (ICMS) is stepping into the second decade with the generous support from the Macau SAR Government and the University of Macau. ICMS has just relocated into the brand new N22 Research Building on the new campus and began its new chapter.
