刚收到一个未听过的杂志发来邮件（如下），邀请Guest Editor，是不是骗子，怎么理解？？？（资深虫友分享一下经验，以免大家上当）。 Recent Patents on Materials Science August 25, 2014 Dear Dr. xxx Bentham Science Publishers (BSP) has launched a series of innovative journals publishing review articles on recent patents in major therapeutic areas of drug discovery as well as biotechnology, nanotechnology, engineering, computer science and material science disciplines. Please refer to Bentham Science’s website for further details. Recent Patents on Materials Science (MATS) is a cutting-edge, peer-reviewed journal which publishes review and research articles written by experts on recent patents and related research in the field of materials science e.g. Biomaterials, Ceramics, Coatings and films, Composites, Wood and Paper, Textiles and Materials Science & Multidisciplinary. The journal was launched in 2008 and is currently abstracted/indexed by major indexing media including Scopus, COMPENDEX, INSPEC, Cambridge Scientific Abstracts (CSA), METADEX, Chemical Abstracts, Genamics JournalSeek, MediaFinder®-Standard Periodical Directory, J-Gate, PubsHub, Engineering Village & Engineering Index. Please visit the website of Recent Patents on Materials Science for the journal‘s aims and scope, instructions for authors, editorial board members and previous issues. In view of your eminent contributions to many high impact factor journals of the field, we would like to invite you to Guest Edit a single topic or thematic issue for MATS. This could be related to the topic you have published or in an area of the field where there has recently been much patent activity. Alternatively, you may wish to submit a review article to the journal. If you are interested in editing such an issue as a Guest Editor, please send a title for your topic or theme, a brief paragraph describing its scope, and tentative titles and authors’ details for review to my attention at patentreviews@benthamscience.org. Also, please send us your CV and list of publications for Editorial Board’s perusal and approval! We will need to have about 100-120 printed pages in the journal issue from contributions by 6 to 8 authors who are leading experts in the field. Alternatively, a mini-thematic issue can also be considered whereby half the required number of pages and contributors (i.e. 3 to 4 authors) would be required. It is recommended that only very eminent contributing authors are selected from different regions, with the majority being from technologically advanced countries. Please note that no research articles will be accepted as the part of thematic issue. As a Guest Editor, you will be required to contribute a one-page ‘Editorial’ highlighting the importance of the chosen topic and of the articles contained in the issue. You may also contribute a review to the issue yourself. Guest Editors of thematic issues will be entitled to an honorarium of US$400 per thematic Issue containing a minimum of 100 printed pages and a free copy of the printed issue. Each corresponding author will receive five free e-prints of the published article. Guest Editors will also receive a free online subscription to any three Bentham journals from the List for one calendar year. Multiple issue copies may be ordered by Guest Editors and contributing authors at discounted rates. All submitted proposals and manuscripts will be peer reviewed prior to a possible decision on acceptance for publication. You are requested to send your reply as soon as possible along with the topic according to the area of your interest. I look forward to receiving your positive response.
