Do you know how to say any kind of Chinese dishes in English?

| As showen in the title above, I don't know how to say Chinese dishes in English when I was asked that what dishes do you like best! We all know how to say the dishes in Chinese, but they are difficult to say in English. In worm forum, there are mang high level of English lover, so can you share them with us (you can make a list as many as possible ) and what kind of Chinese food and Chinese dishes you like best! I come from south of China, I like rice most, but noodles and steamed bread to me is ok. Of course, I like all dises with hot pepper, the inviting smells can make you watering. Haha... |

i just konw one is fired potato, green papper and eggpant. and at our collage-days , we often ate this dish in canteen, and how delicious it is! as the below photo is one page of dishes menu in a China Restaurant which be located in Kimberley, South Africa. there are some chinese dishes on the page, and this restaurant has been opend about twenty years by a familiy from Taiwan. Yeah, it is a good topic. Hard to translate them into English. In my opinion, Maybe only those who have oversea experience could translate Chinese dishes into English in a natural way, such as Lopemann. Well. I just Baidu "Chinese Dishes in English".
