Elsevier的期刊投稿后编辑说没有符合标准的Scholarship，被拒稿了，什么意思。。。

Elsevier的LUP期刊投稿后编辑说我的文章很好让他耳目一新，还让我改说好希望再见到我投他们， 于是欣然改完再投，这回说我没有符合标准的Scholarship，结果彻底被拒稿了，什么意思，之前说文章棒欣赏我，改好却因为Scholarship就拒稿了。。。 Scholarship？？？这东西当什么讲啊我晕。。。  下面我把原话发过来，谁看看Scholarship当什么讲啊，说好的修改呢怎么会拒稿啊： While your study topic fits within the aims and scope of our journal, the quality of the scholarship does not meet the standards we require in order to send it out for a full peer review. Therefore I must reject it at this initial stage of review. The peer review process places high demands upon experts in the field, and for an international journal such as ours we must be very selective in imposing upon reviewers who give freely of their time. |

上次也说scholarship不够，难道学术不行。。。 My main concern with the manuscript is that it lacks the caliber of scholarship required by LAND--there is no research question. But I sense there is a good potential, so would encourage a re-submission after a major overhaul along the two dimensions mentioned above. I would be delighted to take another look when and if such a revamped manuscript is submitted. |

Therefore I must reject it at this initial stage of review. 中，可以看出，贵文尚没达到送审水平。 The peer review process places high demands upon experts in the field, and for an international journal such as ours we must be very selective in imposing upon reviewers who give freely of their time.” 我们这样的刊物的同行评审过程对专家的要求较高，我们必须严格筛选，找到合适专家，并使他们愿意无偿付出时间。 其实，送审后，还有好多种选项。当然依赖于稿件的水平。 |
