由于没有及时撤稿，造成了一稿两投，现在编辑要追究责任，如何应对？？ 已有6人参与

本人3月初投稿某期刊，一个月以来期刊的回复一直是“can't contact with in-house reviewer”，于是在4月初又转投了另外一期刊（着急毕业），没有正式从第一个期刊撤稿。在4月18日，两个期刊同时显示“under review”。当时也没有想那么多，就是想得到专家意见，好做下一步修改。结果悲剧出现了，前两天一个期刊来信说"It has come to our attention that you have submitted your manuscript, ****, to both ** and **. Could you please comment on how this occurred?”好好解释了一下，并从另外一个期刊撤稿，编辑没有追究责任，但稿子被拒了。今天另外一个我已经撤稿的期刊来信说"It has come to my attention that a manuscript you submitted, **** that you submitted to ** is essentially identical to a manuscript that was previously submitted to ** with the same title. When asked in the submission process "Has this manuscript or a substantially similar one been published elsewhere or is it being considered for publication elsewhere?” you answered “no”. This appears to violate our submission guidelines on dishonest communications, and would lead to duplicate publications if accepted by both journals. As a result, an author misconduct panel has been formed. According to the published ESA policies, you have 30 days to respond to this concern. As noted in our online policies: The Panel will then make a determination whether, in its judgment, misconduct has occurred. If the Panel determines that no misconduct has occurred, 1) the report and documentation, together with a record of the Panel’s determination, will be sealed and delivered to the Managing Editor for archiving at ESA headquarters; 2) the Editor-in-Chief will communicate the results of the determination to the Author(s) involved and to the person(s) making the allegation; and, 3) any suspended manuscripts will be released to continue through the publications process. If the Panel determines that author misconduct has occurred, the Panel will determine a course of action that it deems appropriate given the circumstances of the case. " 哥们是菜鸟，请问这个后果是不是很严重？  |

| 如果第一句话“本人3月初投稿某期刊，一个月以来期刊的回复一直是“can't contact with in-house reviewer”，于是在4月初又转投了另外一期刊（着急毕业），没有正式从第一个期刊撤稿”还凑活能算作一个借口/理由的话，这句话：“两个期刊同时显示“under review”。当时也没有想那么多，就是想得到专家意见，好做下一步修改”感觉你就是不可原谅，你这就是典型的一稿多投。唯一能做的就是给期刊编辑实事求是地说明来龙去脉、诚恳道歉，至于期刊怎么处理，那就看人家的意思了。 |
