供参考： Dear Madam/Sir， Many thanks for your confidence and trust in me and I'd wish to let you know how much I appreciate your efforts and understanding during the entire hiring process. I will do all I can to not let you down in my work. As I am new in the company and US, I wish to ask for some advice regarding the job and life around. First can you let me know the working hours and other practical arrangements around the job? How fixed/flexible are the working hours and how are leaves managed? Please do provide any other information relevant. One of my major needs is accommodation. Most likely I will be renting so any information on how and where to find secure and less expensive renting properties will be much appreciated. What I will need is unfurnished two bed room apartment with secure surroundings and convenient public transport access as I will not start driving immediately. By the way, in your opinion, is public transport a really feasible option to get to the job, or you think I must get prepared to drive the moment I arrive? If that is the case, can you recommend a good dealer for buying a car? What are the rules when using my Chinese driver's license? Can I use it to drive legally provided I will have it translated into English by an authorized agency? As you notice my questions are many and without adding more to the list, I will appreciate any information that mat be useful for helping me settle down. Many thanks and look forward to see you soon Best regards xxx 注： 1. 如果你知道联系人的姓名，换掉madam/Sir 2. 有关工作一般基础的是上下班时间、是否弹性、假期如何管理。正常情况下，这些在雇用过程中就应该已经涉及了，这里写出来是万一需要，不然就删掉。 3. 有关生活，最重要的是住处，这里假设你先租房。所以可以问大致租房情况以及你想要的房型，还有地理位置比如说交通。公共交通在美一般不好用，尤其是早晚，还涉及安全，但不可一概而论。如果自己开车，就要买车，还有驾照的事。 总之我把几件比较重要的事情写了下，给你参考，有些可能多余，见谅。 |
