University of Houston, Civil & Environmental Engineering PhD Graduate Assistantship in Environmental Chemistry A fully-funded PhD graduate assistantship, starting in spring 2014 or fall 2014, is available in environmental chemistry in the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at University of Houston, TX, United States of America. We seek a highly-motivated PhD candidate to conduct research in our research group of environmental nanochemistry and geochemistry. The student will gain knowledge of nanomaterial synthesis and characterization as well as many interfacial chemical processes. The student will also have the chance to conduct experiments at National Labs to utilize the advanced synchrotron-based techniques for nanomaterial characterization. The ideal candidate will have a B.S. or MS degree in environmental engineering or chemical engineering, with a strong background and interest in chemical and mineralogical processes.
