"majors" = "本科生" = "大学生" 此外竞赛宗旨众所周知,唯一新鲜的是进级方法和奖励形式 所以为避免冗余,可改写功 "Tournament of Physics Majors" is the first of its kind to reward creative thinking by __X__ and innovative execution by __Y__ "X" / "Y" = "round-robin" (循环赛), "double-elimination" (双败淘汰),.... ---- 注意: 绝不能用 "combat" (搏斗) |

"实践" = "putting into practice" ("-ing" 强调动作) "skill" = "技巧",是纯名词,字源不近 "实践" 可考虑"implementation"但往往是大规模 "improvising" = "凑合" 动作最切实际但不雅 --- "实践"一字直说不易,但可藉 "test ___'s mettle" 表达 "创新" 无非想超过部分的总和,可以考虑用 "synergy" 有比"鼓励" ("encourage"/"foster"  更动听的,是"启发" ("inspire""提供环境" = "immersion" 或 "acclimation by immersion" (近乎广告口号) 或俗称 "boot camp" --- Aspiring physicists rejoice! "Tournament of Physics Majors" is a __-day team event where you will experience first-hand what it's like to really think on your feet and improvise on the spot. --- "Tournament of Physics Majors" is ""acclimation by immersion" at its finest. Creative minds of all academic interests are invited to test their mettle while vying to be "Most Original", "Most Synergistic", "Best Collaborators" (奖项名称 = 竞赛宗旨... 形容词加引号=名称,但形容词本身就适合接 "to be"...是写作技巧,并非纯巧合) --- 感谢奖赏 |
