在IEEE Transactions on RELIABILITY 投了篇文章,有两个问题不太明白,第一个是编辑的说明部分,第二个是关于文章前面的缩写和符号部分。详细如下:
1、First, use MS Word or a suitable, quality editing software that can work fully with doc files. Open the attached file with that software. Review the marked changes. If you do not see marked changes, you need a different editing software. Use MSWord and you should be fine. After reviewing the changes, see the comments that I left for you to address. Address each comment carefully and completely.
Now it is very important that you do not do anything more than I am telling you to do. Do not turn change markings off. Do not accept any marked changes. Do not remove the comments I left. Only do what is necessary to address the comments and any other problems you see, and do not use any file other than the one I am sending to you now.
Once you are done making final changes to your paper, send it to me in an email. In that email, state your approval to print what you send me.
2、两个批注:
批注6:Notation definitions for repeated notation should be defined in the Notation section, then not repeated in the body. Only define notation in the body that is used in that one place, or has a special meaning at that place. Search your paper for notation to move to the notation section and eliminate from the body. Here are some good candidates, but there are many more.
批注7:Never just list definitions of notation. Use the opportunity to add meaning to the math. IF all you need to do is define them, and you will use them in other places, then just define them in the notation section. That is the purpose of that section, for reference by the reader.
In this paper, the complex fatigue damage is expressed by
(4)
ni is the number of occurrence from specific strain range, Ni is the estimated number of survivable occurances from (3), Tj is the temperature level used to evaluate ni and Ni, and tj is the fraction of time spent at the temperature level. |
