PhD-student position in German 已有8人参与

A PhD-student position is available at the Laboratory of Crystallography, University of Bayreuth, on the subject Experimental characterization of the chemical bonds in boron allotropes and boron-rich compounds The project aims at characterizing boron-boron chemical bonds for understanding physical and chemical properties of boron polymorphs and boron-rich compounds. Experimental work includes temperature-dependent X-ray diffraction in the Laboratory and with synchrotron radiation. The project includes structure refinements of multipole models and maximum entropy calculations. The successful candidate has a university degree in chemistry, physics, crystallography, mineralogy or related subjects. The project is funded by the German Science Foundation (DFG); payment is according to TV-L E13/half. Further information can be obtained from Prof. Sander van Smaalen. Sander van Smaalen Laboratory of Crystallography, BGI Building University of Bayreuth Universitaetsstrasse 30 D-95440 Bayreuth Germany Phone: +49-921-553886 Secretary: +49-921-553881 FAX: +49-921-553770 E-mail: smash@uni-bayreuth.de WWW-site http://www.crystal.uni-bayreuth.de/ 一些虫友貌似对这个有点不屑，所以特地做一些说明 首先，这个招聘和我没一毛钱关系，只不过我们组也做 晶体结构这方面，组里的一个technician 和他们有点联系，我就从他facebook上转发过来。所以不存在拿个垃圾学校忽悠别人的意思 其次，这个学校可能没那么出名，下面是两个机构的排名，Times 排在 270-300之间，上交学术排名在400-500之间。或许学校真的不算怎么好，但我想说的是不是每个人都可以去常青藤或者牛津剑桥的。研究方向不同，个人背景不同，每个人只有选择最适合自己的。总不能因为自己在的学校或者小组好，就去无视那些排名上不如自己的。而且德国的科研水平和对科研态度以及受认可的程度，我想不用我多 说。 最后我去这个组看了下，应该还不错，每年都有几篇 PRB, 对于搞晶体和物理的，还能怎么样呢。  1.jpg  2.jpg [ Last edited by 又个七年 on 2013-9-4 at 15:40 ] |
