[½»Á÷] ¡¾Weekly topic¡¿How often do you visit your parents?

`Parents` is a great word in many languages as they give birth to us and sacrifice themselves to feed us. After working or studying at a distance, many people are unable to live with their parents as in the childhood or teenager` time.

After having another family, the issue becomes normally worse than before. In order show their thanks to their parents, most people will spend a
lot of money to buy many gifts for compensating
the decreased care due to the infrequent visit. We all know that most parents do not really need the gifts at their age. The only thing they would like to have is a moment with whole family members. This is even more important for the parents with high age.

I understand most adults have their own jobs, relationships and other things to deal with every day. Maybe, someone does not wanna  listen the repeated chats. However, this is not an execuse for not visiting your parents. They deserve our care after feeding up from born.

To be honest, visiting parents in a regular pattern doesn't mean it has to be every week. Personally, a monthly visit especially on the public holidays and traditional festivals are essential.

When you visit your parents, most people will bring a lot of things but they need. A wise selection considering their actual needs is your second important job. Lastly, donot forget to bring all your family members, which means a lot to your parents.

In summary, to repect parents is a tradition in China, but a lot people don't know how to show their respect and care to their parents. A regular visit is the best way to appreciate your parents.

May2012: ½ð±Ò+5, I completely understand your feeling.... wish our parents a peaceful, healthy and happy life... 2013-05-19 19:33:40
to be honest, what  the landlord says has come to our heart.i cant love my parents any more.when i was a child ,i dont cherish the time we spent together.on the contrary,i often quarreled with my parents, maybe it's an essential experience for us.however,i was so sad when a car accident happened to my mum.i remembered clearly that when i see my mum lieing on the bed, tears coming to eyes instantly even though we have quarrelled this moning.since then,i gave an insight to what is family affection.now i left my parents to meet my dream in an unfamiliar city.i missed them very much.however,i have no time to visit them, only to chat with them on the telephone.

I am in favor of you. but I dont know why you say a wise selection considering their actual needs is your second important job. I visit my parents four times a year or so. most of our chat is on the phone. I feel so sorry about that.  but I have to study and deal with many things.in my viewpoint, parents are the greatest person not the one of.bless to all of the parents in the world

i am a student  studying  in another city which is far away from my hometown ,without time and money ,so i can only visit them  twice a year. But every weekend and some important day i chat with them in phone. I really hope I can visit them  frequently, so I choose a relative near city to continue my studying in the next three years.

The speed of your success is racing with your parents' lives. These words are printed on the wall in our college's dining hall. I remember when I first saw them, a very complecated emotion came out. I felt anxious, sad, and mostly helpless I think. As a matter of fact, I still do. I believe many parents can't win the race, including mine. I'm 25 years old now, and my father is already 63, my mother is 55 carrying uremia for 6 years. I'm sill persuing my master's degree. Sometimes I wonder, what dose success mean. How successful I have to be to make my parents win? Even though I succeed one day, will I have time to be with them or to make them happy? I hope I have answers to these. But I really don't. I love my parents very, very, very much, but what I can do for them is so, so little. I think I'm gonna cry.
