发个瑞典哥德堡大学招分子生物学广告，NATURE JOBS 上也可查到。欢迎转发。截止时间 5月末。有感兴趣的同学请速联系。 Two Post-doc Scholarship Positions in the Department of Chemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Gothenburg, Sweden Research and graduate education at the department of chemistry and molecular biology, University of Gothenburg, comprises a wide scientific field from the atomic and molecular levels all the way through cells to intact organisms. Much of the phenomena studied here impact on our natural environment and living systems. We participate in undergraduate programs in chemistry, molecular biology, medicinal chemistry, biology, marine sciences, and pharmacy.In our group, we use both genome-wide screening and candidate gene approaches to study mechanisms underlying aging-related diseases, such as neurodegeneration and cancer, by using yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) as a model system (See publication list below.). Currently, two post-doc scholarship positions opened in Prof. Thomas Nyström lab. Position A is a post-doc fellowship funded by the Swedish Cancer Society (Cancerfonden). Alterations in epigenetic silencing have been associated with all stages of cell growth, differentiation, and tumour formation and progression by mechanisms, which are not well understood. The research program aims to study gene silencing machineries and networks and pinpoint potential novel therapeutic targets of age-related cancers. The post-doc will work on a high-content silencing screening approach developed in our lab, and uses this approach to investigate networks controlling epigenetic silencing in yeast. Classical cellular, molecular and genetics methods will be applied to further characterize potential targets identified. Position B is a post-doc fellowship funded by the Stiftelsen Olle Engkvist Byggmästare Foundation. Formation of protein inclusion bodies is linked with numerous neurodegenerative diseases. This project aims to advance our understanding of disease inclusion body formation machineries on a global level and uncover targets for pharmaceutical developments of neurodegenerative disorders. A yeast (S. cerevisiae) high-content imaging screening approach has been performed by using a human disease protein (synphylin-1) as an inclusion body marker in our lab. The post-doc will study hits isolated from the screening which influence the inclusion formation by using standard molecular and genetics methods. Further validation of potential pharmaceutical targets will be performed in both yeast and humanized model systems. Applicants should have a PhD in Cellular and molecular biology or related discipline. Highly motivated candidates with demonstrable skills in Molecular biology are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate should have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work independently.
