审稿人这么问的：
With the limited information given by the authors, it is very confusing how the change of adsorption band from 400 to 700 nm could be consistent with the observed colors. The observed color of the material is actually corresponding to the range of wavelength that was least adsorbed by it.

是因为在文献中看到这么一句：The absorption band of the Sn2+ incorporated product resulted in red shift consistent with its observed yellow color as compared to the white colored parent oxide. 所以我就写了这么一句话：metal doping causes a red shift of the absorption edge and the metal-doped KLaTi2O6 photocatalysts show different absorption behaviors in visible light range from 400 to 700 nm, which is consistent with the observed colors.

观察到的颜色分别为(1)KLaTi2O6 白色； (3)Zn-doped KLaTi2O6 灰白色；(2) Ni-doped KLaTi2O6 草黄色; (4) Mn-doped KLaTi2O6浅紫色 ; (5) Co-doped KLaTi2O6黑灰色

现在不知道该如何回答审稿人的问题了。

你这里犯了一个致命的错误。就是说，物体的颜色是和它吸收的光的颜色是不一致的。 比如，叶子吸收大多数的太阳光，但反射的是绿色光（即不吸收绿光），因此，叶子看起来就是绿色的。
你把谱图里的物质的吸光合看到的(即反射的光）对应起来，当然是错的了。

我知道我大意了，写错了，但是现在我该如何回答审稿人的问题？
比如（5）线，Co-KLa2Ti2O6显示的颜色是黑灰色，但是在谱图中，它是吸收紫外光，然后吸收的比较少的是580nm附近的光，那按照物质显示的颜色是它吸收最少的光的颜色，那它应该显示紫色或蓝色才对，这个颜色黑灰色也是差了很多啊。
