The relationship between molecular structure and molar refraction and molar volume was studied by the group contribution method .

the molar refraction and molar volume of all kinds of compounds were calculated by using the experimental data.

the relationship between functional groups of species and quantity of compounds with molar refractivity and molar volume, were describled by type (3) and (4) for each sample compounds respectively.

using "Marquardt + universal global optimization method" algorithm,
for the molar refraction and molar volume equations are nonlinear regression respectively, the molar refraction contribution value Gi and molar volume contribution value Vi (Table 2) were obtained.
Molecular structure by using the regression results of the molar refractivity contribution value and silane, silicone or silicone, can be calculated by the compounds of the molar refraction.

As shown in table 3 110 kinds of silane and silicone compound as a sample, the research group contribution molecular structure and molar refraction and the relationship between the molar volume. Use experimental data to calculate the compound molar refraction and molar volume, as well as for each of this compound were used respectively to type (3) and (4) to describe the functional group type and quantity and compound molar refraction and molar volume, the relationship between the use "wheat quarts method + general global optimization method" algorithm respectively on molar refraction and molar volume equations are nonlinear regression, obtains each group molar refraction contribution value Gi and molar volume contribution value Vi (table 2). Using the regress each group molar refraction contribution value and silane, silicone or gather any of molecular structure, we can calculate and gained the compound molar refraction.
