The mind-as-body metaphor is the motivation for grammaticalization of “X”. Expanding from introduction of words to concept, “X” is given the epistemic meanings. Moreover, with the ellipsis of the prepositional object of “X”, a trans-departmental reorganization between “X” and “X” has led to the discourse marker “XX”. |
