10. A process exists for kitting parts linked to planned jobs. Provisions for segregating materials for planned jobs from the general inventory (i.e., staging) are instituted. Parts are reserved for jobs through the CMMS and grouped into “pick lists” or kits identified to a work order number. Requirements for staging area are defined – access, security, organization. The repair kit will include parts directly purchased for planned jobs, as well as storeroom items excellent planning is required, to ensure that kits are accurate. Regular reviews are carried out of items purchased or reserved, for planned jobs and not used |
