背景知识：印度是多语言国家，宪法规定印度语为官方语言。这段涉及印度语发展以及和其他语言的关系。重点drawing之后的半句不明白。 “it shall be the duty of the Union（指印度联邦） to promote the spread of Hindi language, to develop it so that it may serve as a medium of expression for all the elements of the composite culture of India and to secure its enrichment by assimilating without interfering with its genius, the forms, style and expressions used in Hindustani and in the other languages of India specified in the Eighth Schedule（第八个附表所列语言）, and by drawing,wherever necessary or desirable, for its vocabulary, primarily on Sanskrit and secondarily on other languages” |
