| Why have the authors chosen pendimethalin as the organic compound to be degraded? Degradation of organic dyes is currently rather critically seen as a poor choice of test reaction for evaluating photocatalytic properties as these dyes absorb light (in the visible) by themselves and thus take part in the reaction mechanism. It is therefore important to discuss the most probabnle degradation mechanisms and even provide experimental evidence, if possible. |
