| Why have the authors chosen pendimethalin as the organic compound to be degraded? Degradation of organic dyes is currently rather critically seen as a poor choice of test reaction for evaluating photocatalytic properties as these dyes absorb light (in the visible) by themselves and thus take part in the reaction mechanism.
