非常感谢各位虫友的指点，作了点修改，望指正... Dear Dr. xxx: I am a postgraduate student in College of Geophysics and Information Engineering, China University of Petroleum (Beijing), P.R. China, and interested in the study of numerical simulation using hp-FEM. I've determined to study more of this, and I would like to know if there is a Ph.D. position available in your group. I've been doing research on numerical simulation of resistivity Logging-While-Drilling using highly accurate and self-adaptive hp-FEM during my master’s degree period, especially in simulating the response of resistivity LWD tool and developing optimal mesh refinement strategy. I’ve read your paper, “XXX”. And I was so fascinated by your result that xxx, which gives some guidance for what I am doing now. My CV has been attached to this email.
