话说老外就是负责人啊，不像中国的编辑，退稿就俩字，退稿。说明这篇是Meta分析，
Weakness: What covariates were used for meta-analysis which could have caused the insignificance. Allele frequency differences between populations could influence the power for replicating a reported association. Was it accounted in your meta-analysis?. What was the power to detect an association for low-frequency variants across the population? As can be seen from Table 1, all the 7 studies are not adequately powered to detect association. The authors may want to provide the genotype-relative-risk (GRR) for the promoter variant? Was the population stratification accounted for this promoter variant. Though this variant has been shown to be associated with several complications, the functional significance of this variant is not well studied other than the luciferase driven promoter assay performed in a cancer cell line. In this context, the rational for choosing this variant for meta-analysis for !@#@$!@from the 7 studies (which itself are not adequately powered to detect association with IgA Nephropathy) is not well justified.
