Deal with bacterial strain OS1 and UD2 with different concentration of n-hexane or xylene , measure the protease yield after fermentation. The results are shown in the figure, stress treatments with different concentration of organic solvent can all greatly improve exocellular protease yield of the two bacteria strains. In summary , the protease yield increased along with the concentration of organic solvent increasing ,but after up to the maximum, , protease yield did not change obviously when increased the concentration of organic solvent. When deal with bacterial strain OS1 with 10% of hexane and 1% of xylene and UD2 with 12.5% of hexane and 5% of xylene, protease yield reached the highest. The interesting thing is that handle stress of organic solvent can not only improve the protease yield of wild bacterial strains, but also improve the protease yield of mutated bacterial strains obained by mutagenesis breeding. Part of the microorganism secrete by increasing exocellula protease。
