Advantages of MOFs :
1) High surface area and tailorable selectivity.
2) MOFs have the presence of channels or cavities with defined shapes and dimensions. Hence they show very large storage capacities.
3) MOFs are formed by copolymerization of metals or metal oxides with organic ligands, resulting in metal-oxide clusters connected by organic linkers.
4) MOFs have ordered structures
5) In some cases, MOFs have a peculiar lattice flexibility.
