The original name of Lake Shuanglong is Reservoir Banjiegou and it was found in 1964. It changed its name to Lake Shuanglong because it is zigzag like two dragons playing in water when developed for two road in southern city in 1992. Its main function is for sightseeing and entertainment. Lake Shuanglong, located in downtown of Street Shuanglong in District Yubei, has area of raining accumulation of 1.35 km2, designed reservoir storage of 960,000 m3, realized storage of 740,000 m3, area of reservoir of 17 hectare and average water depth of 4.4 m where the deepest one is 13m and lowest one is 1m. It is an urban lake with shallow water and is the core part of two-road downtown environment and view, which has important ecological service function.
