The signal peptide prediction performed by SignalP 3.0 on the basis of a combination of several artificial neural networks and hidden Markov models revealed that BMI RBKS contained a potential signal peptide with 58.8% probability. However, we search signal peptide using human and cattle RBKS protein sequences by SignalP 3.0, there is not a singal peptide found, the probability is low 1%. The reason about difference and conflict of pig , human and cattle RBKS signal peptide need further study later.



      RBKS was discovered more than 50 years ago, and there has been much progress in understanding this important enzyme within the last decade. But the molecular mechanisms of which actors and how target it remain a central unresolved problem for biochemists and pharmacologists. For this reason, the homology modeling of the BMI RBKS protein was carried out using human ribokinase (2fv7 Chain: B) as the template. Our results indicate that the conserved domain (RBKS, 17-323AA) of pig RBKS protein mainly exists αβα sandwich domain and β-barrel. It suggests that these domains may play a pivotal role in RBKS activity. This first pig structural model of RBKS should prove useful reference in designing studies aimed at understanding how RBKS interacts with unknown protein partners for explaining its various functions. ,

SignalP 3.0 Server 是计算机辅助预测蛋白质位置的软件版本。

基于几种人工神经网络与隐藏的马克模型,利用SignalP 3.0 系统预测的信号肽显示出 BMI RBKS蛋白包含一个潜在的具有58.8%的概率存在的信号肽。然而,我们使用SignalP3.0搜寻了人类与牛RBKS 蛋白序列,没法找到任何信号肽,其概率低至1%。此不同区别的原因以及猪、人、牛的RBKS 信号肽需要在将来进一步研究。
