Thank you for your submission to Journal of Materials Chemistry. I regret to inform you, however, that the manuscript will not be considered further as a submission to the journal. A great many more papers are submitted to Journal of Materials Chemistry than we can possibly publish and on that basis an initial selection of papers is made on the grounds of general interest and suitability for the journal. I am sorry to say that on this occasion your communication will undergo no further processing because it is not of sufficient urgency to warrant publication in this form. Additionally, the materials and their properties are not compared with existing state-of-the-art compounds or standards making it difficult to judge what improvements they offer. However, if you are able to show that your materials are an improvement over similar state-of-the-art materials, then we would be willing to consider a full paper version of your manuscript as a new submission at a later date. I am sorry not to have better news for you. I encourage you to submit the results to a more specialised journal as soon as possible and I wish you success with publishing this work.
