历时七个月，文章终于接受了

今年年初投了一篇文章到Crystal Growth & Design，投出去以后，一直都没有消息，等的心里非常的急。在三个月的时候，给编辑发了封信询问情况，编辑回信: Dear Professsor XXXX, Thank you for your email regarding the status of your manuscript XXXX. Currently, we have received one review and expect to receive another any time now. Two more referees were assigned along with the original two, one of which declined our invitation. Email reminders were sent to the referees who have yet to submit their reviews. We hope to have more information regarding your manuscript very soon. Please feel free to contact us at any time with further questions or comments. Have a pleasant day. Again, we must apologize for the delay. The second set of referees we assigned did not respond to our initial request or the reminder notifications that were sent later. Unfortunately, we had to re-assign your paper to two new referees, which have once again slowed the process. However, as we mentioned in our previous email (08/01/2006), we do have one of the two necessary reviews. Please accept our most sincere apology for the delay. Nowadays it's difficult for editors to look for reviewers. Unless the journal if famous (such as JACS), nobody dares to refuse the invitation from the editor. For other unimportant journals, reviewers just don't reply unless: (1) you are famous and his friend; (2) you cited his papers, so when your paper is published, his papers are cited and will be counted in Web of Science. |
