Response: It is really true as reviewer suggested that inculde the data plots for chain of 2 in both extinction spectrum (fig. 2) and field enhancement contours (fig.3). We have added the extinction spectrum into the fig. 2 and the field enhancement contours of individul small nanorod and chain of 2 into the fig.3 in the manuscript as well as in the referred figure and the comment have been added in the manuscript accordingly. On the 19 line of p 4 add : ¡°¡..individual nanorod and chain of two nanorods with¡¡± On the 20 line of p 4 add : ¡° ¡ in Fig. 2. For the chain of two nanorods, which only consist of the medium and the small nanorods, two plasmon peak (0.479¦Ìm and 0.529 ¦Ìm) are found in the extinction spectrum. The extinction efficiency at 0.529 ¦Ìm is higher than that at the 0.479 ¦Ìm. ¡¡± |
