Reviewers' comments:
The research is conducted on the strain-rate effect of sulfar-damaged concrete. Without good discussion, the paper looses the research significance.(这个被我加粗了,第一次投国际期刊的文章,英文水平实在跟不上,改了很多次了,也按照论坛上发过多篇SCI的牛人们的SCI攻略修正了几遍,结果还是很伤心)
In addition, the following corrections are to be made prior to peer review.
1. On page 2 reference is made to Dongming Yan as well as Forquin and Safa - should these contributors not be referenced by way of number?
(这一条我实在不明白重点在哪?原文中参考文献引用如下“Dongming Yan studied the strain rate dependent behavior of concrete considering initial static loading history and the influence of temperature and moisture content on the strain rate sensitivity [6-7]. P. Forquin and K.Safa explained the influence of free water on the quasi-static and dynamic strength of concrete in confined compression tests. The dissimilarity between saturated and dried specimens was mainly attributed to an increase of pore pressure inside the saturated concrete during fast experiments [8]”)
2. Page 2 - 2nd paragraph - line 2 - reference is made to "bearing more or less durability failure" - do you mean "resulting in durability failure"?
(我承认我又中国英语了一把,本来的意思是“遭受或多或少的耐久性破坏”,看来审稿人没怎么读懂。)
3. On page 3 reference is made to "many structures currently in service will unavoidably suffer from sulphate attack". Why is this the case? Were not sulphate resisting cements available and were they not specified for use?
(审稿人比较较真,我写的比较马虎,对于这个意见的解释还能应付的了)
4. Conclusion 4 could be usefully expanded on justifying studying the sulphate phenomenon at higher strain rates and linking it to relevance in practice. In addition what is the likely engineering benefit of strain rate sensitivity being improved by sulphate attack? |
