Congratulations! On the recommendation of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry (and if applicable, contingent upon receipt of official GRE scores at a satisfactory level and of your official transcript showing conferral of your baccalaureate degree), we are pleased to admit you formally into the Graduate School of the University of Notre Dame to pursue work toward the Doctor of Philosophy degree, beginning with the Fall 2011 semester.
To assist you in this endeavor, we are offering you a full tuition scholarship (including payment of the technology and health center access fees), worth approximately?39,710 for the 2011-2012 academic year.?We are also pleased to offer you a position as a Graduate Assistant for the?2 month period beginning in August 2011. This appointment may require service to the department and carries a taxable stipend of $24,000.?Stipend and tuition support are renewable in subsequent years subject to the availability of funds, provided you maintain satisfactory progress toward your degree.
