求助两句英语句子

各位大侠好： 最近小弟投了篇小文章，审稿意见回来了。问题很多。其中有两问是说这两句话不完整。我没看出有什么不完整。请各位大侠帮忙。很急。谢谢！ 第一句:Since establishing an animal model is time-consuming, usually lasting 8 to 12 weeks;histopathologic examination may lead to the consumption of animals;and the testing small proportion cannot reflect the condition of whole population. 第2句：According to our study, in the simulative studies the novel method performed as well as other well-known statistical classification and variable selection methods such as SLDA and SLR-LASSO (Table 4). |

楼主不是要大家英译汉，而是叫大家分析一下两句为什么被审稿人判为句子为残破句。我认为：（1）第一句中取消分号的写法，改为陈述句，并加连词，并且只有原因，没有下文，属不完整状态。例如：Establishing an animal model is time-consuming（usually lasting 8 to 12 weeks), and histopathologic examination may lead to the consumption of animals. In addition, the testing small proportion cannot reflect the condition of whole population. Hence, *******. （2）第二句的确不完整。后半部分：in the simulative studies the novel method performed as well as other well-known statistical classification and variable selection methods such as SLDA and SLR-LASSO。“as well as”前后不对称，并且其后面太长，所以建议改为第一人称主动句：in the simulative studies we adopted the novel method as well as other well-known statistical classification and variable selection methods such as SLDA and SLR-LASSO. |
