Reviewer #1: *****I found the study interesting as it may lead to heat exchangers with enhanced efficiencies (see Daniel et al., Science, vol. 291, p 633 (2001)), although many points deserve to be elucidated.

Finally I understand that it must be frustrating for the authors, but the English has to be comprehensively revised for a publication. A lot of expressions are awkward and sometimes the message gets confused.
I would therefore recommend the publication of a comprehensively revised version of the paper.
Minor details:
I am not sure that the fabrication process of the surfaces sketched in figure 1 is very clear.
Is Figure 3 really necessary? (maybe the supplementary information section would be more suitable).

Reviewer #2: The paper "****" by **** deals with the fabrication and test of  **** materials. The originality of the present work is the fabrication of the **** materials.
This paper is interesting. However, major improvements have to be made to it before publication can be envisaged. I list some of them:
