用rural来翻译民间，有些不妥。rural是农村的意思。还不如folk: traditional and typical of the ordinary peoople of a country or community.比如： folk literature民间文学， folk music民间音乐等。没有理想的翻译，是不是可以说Folk Costume Colors in the South and North of China
我是在很多SSCI文章上看到，农村是用rural areas 翻译的，而且我所研究的不是北方和南方，而是北方的一部分地区和南方的一部分地区民间服饰色彩的对比，而且我又问了一个外国人，他给我的答案是： costume colors in rural areas of the northern and the southern regions of China.
