Figure 5 shows the measured atomic fractions of Rh and Pt at different incident photon energies for as-synthesized RhxPt1-x nanoparticles. The depth dependence of the atomic fractions of Rh and Pt in the RhxPt1-x nanoparticles is much weaker than in the RhxPd1 x and PdxPt1-x cases, suggesting that the RhxPt1-x nanoparticles were predominately a homogeneous solid solution of Rh and Pt.
